    Hi,

I wonder if anyone has ran into the same problem as me.

I’m slowly building up my DSLR gear, and in doing so ran into the issue of how to go between them quickly.

    I have the following that:

Manfrotto MVH502 fluid head (with built in sliding 357 dovetail QR)
Varavon 900s slider with Manfrotto Ball head (with 323 QR)
    Gini Rig
Incoming: Manfrotto Monopod with same 357

So the issue i have is getting the rig quickly between those three.

I bought a spare 323 QR with the intention of sticking it on the fluid head, i.e. stacking it on the sliding QR. Issue is… its not tall enough. The trigger doesn’t clear the side of the base.

So now I’m stuck. I guess I should return the ball head (I wanted a light head for the slider as the rig gets heavy) and get a dovetail adapter for that.

But has anyone managed to get a 323 quick release plate to fit onto one of those sliding ones?

Not sure exactly when it comes to those particular plates, but I ran into issues when wanting to use my Manfrotto fluid head with my existing setup (arca-swiss) and found this place which makes a good number of Manfrotto adapters and the like. You might find something suitable there (top quality too, I ended up ordering one and was very impressed). https://www.hejnarphotostore.com
