Hiss when connection a Zoon H4n to Canon 6D
Hi
I’m trying to set up a canon 6D with a zoom H4n handy recorder with a rode mic attached so that sound can be recorded with video to avoid having to sync later. When I connect the H4n through the mic jack the sound records on camera with a huge amount of hiss.
When I record the sound independently with on the recorder/mic it is perfect crystal clear sound. When I record sound with the cameras internal mic it is bad quality but doesn’t have the same hissing. So I am assuming it is something to do with the connection between the recorder and the camera that is causing the hissing. Does anyone no of a solution to fix the problem other than sync it in post.
