  Shooting/Editing with Cinestyle PP?

  I’ve recently been shooting in the Cinestyle PP with my 5D Mark III since i’ve been told that it will allow for a more flat look, and in turn more latitude for Color Grading in post. However when I review my footage on my computer the image is flat, but it also has a lot of what seems to be noise in the image.

  So my question(s) is/are.. is the noise normal when using Cinestyle, and what’s the best way to get it out?

  Chances are you have your ISO set too high. There are some terrific tutorials from Shane Hurlbut, ASC on working with the Canon DSLR’s to make them more of a “movie making machine” over on YouTube.
