  • Color balance shifts when clouds pass overhead. Suggestions?

    Hi folks,
I use a Canon T3i to shoot weddings. When outdoors, I usually set color balance to the prevailing conditions, i.e. “cloud” for cloudy and “sunlight” for sunny. Of course, conditions fluctuate.
I’d have thought that, for example, if I set to “sunlight”, and a cloud passed briefly overhead, that the color would still look natural in the finished video. But, the shifts are quite obvious, i.e., sometimes looking bluer, sometimes more orange. It’s impossible to keep up with changing conditions by switching white balance manually, and auto white balance seems to be all over the place.
Any suggestions, especially for the fast-moving wedding environment?
    Thanks so much!
    Vic
