DSLR Video Output Mirroring?
I have a Canon EOS Rebel T2i and in my next video production I will be attaching a very long RCA cord to the video out ports on it and feeding it into an older camcorder that can display video input so the camera operator and a second crew member can see the video feed. I received the monitor today and plugged it to my camera, and when I did the screen on the camera shut off and I could only see the feed on the external monitor. I have magic lantern installed but I couldn’t find the option in there. Is there any way of mirroring the image instead of only showing it on one monitor?

One of the huge limitations of DSLR film making is the inability to output a separate video signal and have a live LCD monitor on the camera.

Wait a minute, what do you mean by ‘RCA cable’?

Not sure how you would go about connecting a DSLR to RCA, but it won’t be easy. That would be a analog to digital conversion as well as a SD to HD conversion.
I am assuming that this is a mistake in terminology since you said you could see the picture on the external monitor.

I would mean using the component cable that can plug into the DSLR that outputs a composite rca signal. And the coupling it to a camcorder that can display composite video input on it’s screen and viewfinder.

Oh,yeah. I completely forgot that those cameras had that output.
