  • What CPU/Grafic-Card would be recomended?

Posted by Mohammad Taha on May 18, 2016 at 6:49 am

    Hi Everyone,
I work with After effects CS6 and would like to build up my computer to get a better performance.
Is there a recommended CPU or Grafic-Card?
I think about not to pay more than 1000dollar. (both together)

    any suggestions?

    thx
    Mohammad

Well, I’ll give you the specs of my desktop and maybe that’ll give you an idea.

    Intel i7-4970k @3.6ghz
    Nvidia Geforce GT 730
    12gb of ram
    Win 10 64 bit
So the graphics card isn’t really a major thing when it comes to After Effects, but if you’re going to be using something like Element 3D or Premiere Pro, you might want to keep a decent card at least. Other than that, my desktop was $600 at Costco. Cheers!

    Hi Dave,

I use a lot of 3D Software (Maya, Max, Blender, Cinema4D, DeltaGEN).
    And obviesely rendering.

I had in mind to get a min. of 16gb maybe also 32gb RAM.

But I had no Idea what kind of grafic card or CPU I should get.

And After effects has a bit more Focus thats why it was for me more imported to get somethink for After effects.

    Hi,

Yea getting the last one is a option. Or i wait till end of the month and get the Geforce GTX 1080. has a preformance for VR 3times better then the GTX 980. 😛

But honestly i was thinking of gtx 970. or would you recomend me get a “-TI” for 6GB ram? would it do a big diffrent between 4GB and 6GB?

    cheers

if u want the best results go for the expensive hardware , more ram more better , gtx970 maybe 200gbp cheap but if u can just hold the money and add more to get gtx980ti you will be happy.

    if i was u get gtx 980ti
