Cinestyle vs. Marvel
Hello,
I’m having a difficult time wondering what picture style is better: Marvel or Cinestyle
(The first set of images were converted to proress, the second set were edited natively in H.264)Here’s some tests I did today (video stills),
Marvel Advanced: https://i1152.photobucket.com/albums/p483/Marco_Falcone/Marvel0000011.jpg
Cinestyle: https://i1152.photobucket.com/albums/p483/Marco_Falcone/cinestyle0000011.jpgThe mid-tones are definitely better in Cinestyle, but Marvel seems more clean.
I also did a test between Standard b+w and Cinestyle b+w, both images are cropped (disregard sharpness; standard had +2, Cinestyle had 0)
Cinestyle: https://i1152.photobucket.com/albums/p483/Marco_Falcone/ScreenShot2012-05-20at22117PM.png
Standard b+w: https://i1152.photobucket.com/albums/p483/Marco_Falcone/ScreenShot2012-05-20at22058PM.pngAs you can see here, there’s a lot more artifacts in Cinestyle.
I’m pretty confused as to which picture style I should use for my projects! What looks better to you guys?
