Over the past few years I have been pretty reluctant to get rid of my Panasonic HVX200, due to some of the issues with DSLR shooting. Over teh summer though, I decided it was time, and I took the plunge and bought a Canon 7d.

The rolling shutter and the uneven weight distribution of the 7d worried me when doing hand held shots and pans, but thankfully I found a relatively simple technique here on Creative Cow that really helped me out.

This is the Adobe After Effects CS 5.5 built in Stabilization.
Here is an example as well as a link to Richard Harrington’s great writeup!

Of course the main goal is not to have shaky footage to begin with, but in case you do, this is a pretty good solution!
Hopefully this helps someone out there!
