  Would Canon 18-135mm f3.5-5.6 IS be a good upgrade from 17-85 f4-5.6 IS USM

  Hi,

  I am quite happy with my Canon EF-S 17-85 IS USM lens but it would be good if had a slightly longer zoom. I recently came across the Canon 18-135mm f3.5-5.6 IS and thought it may be a good upgrade. Has anyone used both these lenses, what are the pros and cons?

  You could try a 70-200 then you’ll have all the way from 17 to 200.

  Thanks for replying. I already have a long zoom. I am interested in the 18-135 because it would mean I hardly ever had to change lens. I keep my 17-85 on the camera almost all of the time and when I change it is only to get a little extra zoom. With a 18-155 lens would probably drop to under 1%. This is a big example for the type of run and gun work I tend to do.
