  arri mmb-1 matte box w/ 5D

  I’m wondering if anyone has a solution for configuring the arri mmb-1 matte box with the 5D, with the 5D having the battery pack mounted on the bottom of the camera.

  I know that abel cinetech sells a spacer to use the matte box with the 5D but that is only with no mounted battery.

  You need a baseplate / rail system that allows you to adjust the height of the rods.

  I use a Genus system that does this and allows the rods to mounted the alternative way up for even greater adjustment options.

  I think most systems from other manufacturers do this too.

  I am going to call Abel today and see what they say, since they are the company pushing the Arri matte box that I own.
