what not to get for the D7
So I got it ..WooHooo.. went crazy on extras.. and I must say..not bashing the makers.. they are great products.. but for Photographers yes.. not video guys.. i bought the Battery Grip $180.. really great idea.. but you can’t use it if your going to mount it on a rail system.. and you cant add a Focus mechanism on it cause it sits too high…. and then I bought this really cool.. Body Glove for $40 bucks.. I have not mounted it on a Rail system yet.. but..you can’t use it with the battery grip.. cause the battery grip has to engage tightly into the camera to be recognized.. Im not going to return any of them.. Cause they are great add-ons.. but just something I did not take into account when I went buy crazy buying cool things…. just an FYI..

Yeah no one said the power winder/battery grip would be for video DSLR shooters… 🙂

Some rail systems allow the adjustment of the height of the rods.
I’m using the Genus system, it does. It also has a completely flat base, necessary for Steadicam mounting. I also like it’s simplicity.
