  CatDV vs Nesbit

  For you CatDV users out there, how would you compare the product line of CatDV with the Nesbit systems line? Is one stronger than the other? Advantages? Cost?

  I’ve not seen Nesbit for things other than tape management. We have done some transfers where we took a Nesbit Tape library and converted the metadata into CatDV and linked it to files as the tapes were ingested. Not sure why the clients chose to switch though.

  Full Disclosure, this was a very old version of Nesbit so maybe the upgrade was never pursued? I have not seen the new offerings from Nesbit.
