  What does this icon mean?

  I’m revisiting an old project and I’m trying to remember how I made a highlight for an animated character. My memory is awful, what does the icons mean to the right by the layer name? The squares with the inverted circles? I’ve tried googling everything, but nothing is coming up 🙁

  Bottom layer has top layer set as track matte
