  CatDV and Rovi Total Code Codec Plug-In

  Hi all,

  Does anyone know if its possible to utilize the plug-in linked below to decode media imported into CatDV Professional v9 with MXF and Archive Option?

  My initial testing finds this is not possible, but perhaps some one here knows otherwise?

  I am hoping to utilize Total Code rather than the Calibrated suite of encoders/decoders to preview media within my CatDV catalogs.

  This will not work directly in CatDV as it stands today but could be integrated for transcoding with Adobe Media encoder or Premiere and CatDV.

  Is that encode only, or does it also support playback?

  The docs I saw only mentioned encoding.

  Do you have a specific issue with Calibrated? Greg from Calibrated lurks here and is usually pretty good to respond to issues.

  Nope, no issue with the Calibrated suite. I was just hoping to avoid dropping more funds on yet another plug-in, but alas the Calibrated purchase was made and is working well. I just wish it had the ability to encode XDCAM EX QTs and not just decode them for playback.
