MediaRecall by Deluxe
Has anyone heard of them or have any experience with them? They seem to mainly specialize in digitizing and and DAM for online footage sales. Often my clients are asking about these one stop shop solutions which I try to steer them clear of.
Anybody know what they use as their back end management system? Anybody used their digitizing service?

I do not know what the backed is. I’m assuming custom as I’ve seen some other custom solutions they have built.
Anyone that big, with their technical resources is likely rolling their own. If it’s based on anything I’ll bet we’d have seen a huge press release touting that “Deluxe is using our…. software to…” Etc.
But if they are ingesting I’m betting that’s something pretty low tech as you still have to manually babysit ingest quite a bit, hence the pricing you see for those types of services.

That’s what I imagined. I will check with them on the digitizing, would not be too happy with tapes getting sent to China to be ingested!
