  Create User Field for Date

  Does anyone know if you can create a user field that will behave like the Date field? I want to associate airdates with assets, and it would be great if the metadata was more than just text.

  Yeah, go to Preferences > Field Definitions and in the type column choose Date.

  I think that’s what you’re looking for.

  Also, this only exists in V9, before that, this wasn’t an option, in case some of you haven’t updated.

  Ah. Thanks for the info. Another reason to update to the latest version.
