  Performing Query question.

  I have a number of audio files cataloged in CatDV. They have metadata that comes in with them and shows up in the view panel. Title, Artist, Album.

  I would like to able to search these fields in a “perform query” mode. These field do not show up in the drop-down list.

  They do show up in the “find” search.

  If I search on “Any logging or media field”, it will find the files I am looking for. So it is searching those fields, I just cannot select them.

  Am I missing something simple?

  This is down to how these fields are stored in the database. If you’re searching for a title Xyz, try searching instead for Metadata (Media) contains “Title = Xyz” (with spaces round the =).

  Back in the office and tested this. It works exactly the way I needed it to.
