  CatDV preferences file missing

  We’re running Pro edition on two computers. We need to sync up our user columns and customize our details panel, etc., so I was looking to copy the preferences file as some of the handy posts on here suggested.

  Looked for user/library/preferences, but we can’t find a “library” folder under “user.” A search of the entire hard drive and external drive did not find “CatDV preferences”. We have it on our second computer right where it’s supposed to be, but we’ve already made a ton of changes to the first comp.

  Is there another place that file can be besides User/Library/Preferences? Can it be in a hidden or blocked directory that I need to somehow find?

  We’re on Mac OS 10.7.

  On Lion, it’s hidden, use the Finder’s “Go” menu and select:

  Go>Go to folder… and that’ll let you type what you need. If you enter:

  ~/Library

  You’ll get to the Library folder.

  However, if you’re on v9, you can just go to Tools>Export Preferences and save them out and swap that file between machines. (Thanks Rolf!)
