Looking at the CatDV standalone trial (iMac 2.16 4GB Ram, 10.7.2) (and comparing with FORscene for logging / selects creation on a small scale)

I have a few sequences questions:

    1. If I trim a sequence (in the trim window), e.g. by marking a new in on a clip, it takes about 4 seconds to update the sequence. Is this normal, or an underpowered machine? The clip in question is H264 if that makes a difference.

    2. Is there a trim forward / back shortcut? (like [ or ] on FCP or , and . on Avid)

    3. Can I match back to the original sub clip from within the sequence (I used detect scenes to break an edited clip into sub clips and created the sequence from them)

    4. Can I edit the ‘notes’ for the sub clips from within the clip list for the sequence? If so will that carry back to the original sub clips? (I can understand why not if it doesn’t – but I’d like a way of updating the sub clip easily)

    Many thanks
