Can you link a rendered proxy of an .AEP (after effects) with the file itself in catDV? We have tons of templates and that seems like the best way to do it, but the proxies are not syncing up.

Not to my knowledge, I’m assuming there are duration issues, etc. But Rolf could that be turned on?

It’s hard since for video you have to know that proxies and their hires have to have exact TC or “bad things happen”. If you break the proxy/hires link then you risk allowing people to ruin their editorial projects, so it has to be something that is not taken lightly.

So would the best way be to make a bunch of Metaclips? Or is their another way of doing this? The main point is I want the editors to be able to see what the AFX template is before they open it.
