    Hi
Purchased 2.2 yesterday, so apologies for ignorance (I did search the forum for previous posts)! Capturing a 33 minute tape, the capture hits problems around 10 minutes in. It stops capturing and re-cues the tape, captures another second or so, and repeats for some time before aborting. It doesn’t matter where you start from – starting later into the tape, it captures over the previous problem, then hits errors another 10 minutes in. I’ve just installed an updated version of Java and will now try again. I checked the error log, and you can see the problems but not why.

Also, I assume it’s able to capture a whole tape in one file (which I want)? I have a test tape which is being broken up. Is this inevitable if there are timecode breaks?

    Many thanks
    Andrew

I Should say that I’m capturing a standalone DV stream to an internal 500GB SATA drive, which I’ve just reformated, in case it was fragmentation. I’ve just tried a different deck. I’m getting a ‘conversion failed’ message at the start of the capture, but it proceeds OK till 10 mins in – varies slightly each time, but roughly 2.1GB.
Sorry if this is just too basic!
