  Does CatDV StandAlone 9 can trigger a script?

  Hi, I have the CatDV standalone 9 and was wondering, since there’s many plugins from third party solutions if you can build your own (very simple one in this case)?
  What I would like to know is that if I can rightclick on a number of clips (or just one) and had a command that will pass the names as argument to a script.
  This would be perfect to integrate on my system.
  Any light on this would be appreciated.

  If you have CatDV Pro (not standard edition) and can do some very simple programming in Java then yes, you can write your own plugin that adds commands to the menus to do what you want, including running an external command if necessary. You can drop an email to support@squarebox.com requesting a copy of the API if you want to learn more about plugins.
