I’m trying to figure out how to resize chroma keyed clips that don’t also crop the footage below it on the timeline.

Whether I do this via a clip specific node or via the inpector, whenever I zoom out, once the boundaries of the key’d clip pass the subject of the underlying video, the key’d clip starts acting like a crop. It’s as though the area outside of the “boundaries” of the key’d clip are opaque instead of transparent.

Can somebody help me understand what’s going on?

Figured it out finally. I needed to put a power window around the portion of the clip that I was interested in having in the shot and then zooming out didn’t crop the underlying video.
