node caching feature request
Posted by Andi Winter on April 3, 2020 at 11:56 amdear bm!
i would love to have settings for the smart node cache, ie that i can tell resolve only to render noise reduction OFX, or specific plugins. that would really speed up my work. or at least, a keyboard shortcut to add node to user cache would be nice…
thanks

April 5, 2020 at 1:38 pmthanks michael! interesting video… but, i do know about node caching. what i ask for is a shortcut to add a node to the user caching.
because when i grade eg a feature in rec709 with NoiseReduction use on the first node, and a color space transform on the third node, i can’t use smart cache, because it tries to cache all ofx plugins. if it does that, everytime when i do a before conversion luminance change, it stutters because of the caching of the color space transform (which i don’t need). it would be ideal if a pop up comes up when using smart cache with all the ofx plugins used in the timeline to toggle smart rendering on or off.
now i have to MANUALLY go to the mouse and right click and say add node to user cache. which gets tiring on a real job with 1000 edits…
