    Hi

I’ve been doing an edit in Premiere which I’ve graded in Resolve. So far so good.
However, as usual… the client has come back with some changes. But I can’t remember if there’s a quick and easy way to preserve the grades I have from the first timeline and have them link to the shots on the new timeline in Resolve.

    My workflow has been:
    Edit in Premiere.
    Export XML.
    Import XML to Resolve.
    Export grade.
Re-edited the original (not graded) timeline in Premiere.
Exported a fresh XML of this new timeline.
Importing that new timeline into Resolve.

It is the last stage that is the sticking point – it won’t seem to relink whatsoever.

Been having a dig around and not come up with a simple explanation yet. Although I may be missing something somewhere!

    Thanks in advance.

Remote grades or color trace. Chapters 108 and 114 in the manual.

    Thanks!
I was actually just about to come back on here and reply to myself that I’d figured out Color Trace.
