  • GPU not showing in Resolve 15 – but on system profiler

Posted by Roman Stricker on June 20, 2018 at 8:21 am

    Hey!
I use two identical GPUs in an expander. Looking at the system profiler I see all graphics cards: 1 GUI card and the 2 external GPUs.
But on Resolve 15 Beta I only see one of my external GPUs. Instead the GUI card is listed as second GPU.
Performance has dropped significantly and I am prompted on a regular basis that my GPU memory ist full…
    Any ideas?

Did you see both cards on a previous version of Resolve? Beta5 is available which would be worth trying. The first beta is usually the most buggy.

Also make sure you’ve downloaded the Studio version. The free version only lets you use one GPU. I am assuming you were using the paid for Studio version if you had previously been able to see the two Titan Xs.

Thanks Michael, for that speedy reply!
    Yes to all points:
Iit did work before on Vs 14, 12, 11, etc…
I think I was already on the latest Beta before, but just to make sure I uninstalled und installed the latest version – problem remains…
Yes, it is the studio version.
    Hmmm….

Might have to contact Blackmagic. Firstly to report a bug and to get support. If it worked before then it’s perhaps a bug.
