So we’re doing a project that involves a recreation of thr Red Pill/Blue Pill scene from the Matrix, and we want to do a ECU of Morpheus’s glasses, however obviously we don’t want the camera in the reflecrion. Would we mask a picture of “Neo” onto the glasses? What would be the easiest way to achieve this in AE?

\”Why, Mr. Anderson? Why, why, why? Why do you do it? Why get up? Why keep fighting? Do you believe you\’re fighting for something? For more than your survival? Can you tell me what it is? Do you even know? Is it freedom? Or truth? Perhaps peace? Could it be for love? Illusions, Mr. Anderson. Vagaries of perception. Temporary constructs of a feeble human intellect trying desperately to justify an existence that is without meaning or purpose. And all of them as artificial as the Matrix itself, although only a human mind could invent something as insipid as love. You must be able to see it, Mr. Anderson. You must know it by now. You can\’t win. It\’s pointless to keep fighting. Why, Mr. Anderson? Why? Why do you persist?\”

    Yes.

I have done this in the past, and used glasses in which the lenses were painted chroma green. It worked well, but you still have to track the shot if the character is moving at all.

Ok, so the glasses we are using can’t be painted green because they’re someone else’s. However, I was thinking of tracking the glasses that are moving and then adjusting the picture so it matches the glasses and just parenting that to thr tracked glasses. No obstacles with that, right?

    That should work just fine.
