  • “Duplicate” a timeline?

Posted by Russ Johnson on March 21, 2018 at 4:14 pm

    Hi,

Resolve Studio 14.3. I can’t find a simple way to select a timeline in a bin and copy it with all the trims, edits, c.c., filters, etc., so I can make different versions with modifications for the sake of comparison.

    Thanks for any insight.

Err… yeah. Case of progressive male refrigerator blindness now extended to software. I was right clicking but not going into the Timeline submenu.

Thanks for for your indulgence Glenn and sorry for my wasting forum bandwidth.

    There are no stupid questions!

They moved this function a couple of versions ago, and I curse it every time I have to fumble around for the Timeline options. There’s a bunch of stuff I wish they would remove from a right-click timeline function per se, but I get this is just a philosophical difference, not a deal-killer.

We have all stared at a drop down menu and said “I’m sure it was right here”, or stared right at the correct item, and not been able to read it. That’s usually when I say “time to go home”

I generally say, “time for a break and another 5-Hour Energy Drink” and push on! ????
