  • Exporting a single frame from Resolve Timeline.

    Hi,

I’m using an iMac and DaVinci Resolve 14.

I have a timeline full of video clips. I want to export a frame as a still image, work on it in photoshop, then re-import it back in DaVinci Resolve.

How can I export a still frame as a .PSD, JPG, TIFF, or any type of file from Davinci Resolve?

    Thanks in advance

Deliver page, mark in out on one frame and then select tiff. Same as exporting anything out of Resolve but you have to select a one frame range.

Or grab a still and export it out.

Or expand the player to Cinema Mode, wait for the timeline indicator at the bottom of the screen to disappear, and do a “print screen”, then open photoshop, create new file, and paste it in.

    Windows 10 64-bit
    DaVinci Resolve 14.3

This is a bad idea as the viewer image can be inaccurate. Also if one wants to export a still for, let’s say making a clean plate, one will want it to match exactly to the footage without extra aliasing or other shifts.
