    2.5 D animation – Like Michael said, you have to plan out your “journey”, collect the right photographic elements and maybe some chroma/roto video elements, build the space in 3d space in AE and then move the camera through. It may be that not all has to be one move, but smart transitions can hide separate pieces of animation (ex- a large element like a wall fills the screen for one frame and as it moves to the side continuing the move it reveals another piece of animation.

    And be ready to keep working on this for what seems like forever until you get it right. Stuff like this is not too difficult, but it is super tedious.
