Resolve 14 Studio Face Refinement: how to edit ???
The new Face Refinement feature, even in its beta stage, seems to have great potential. In short, it reduces multiple masks and associated tracking to a single, multifaceted face recognition or edge detection tool.
But there are immediately two questions: how to edit the resulting tracked mask. It is not perfect, and can mis-read face features. It may, in time, recover and recenter the mask. But how to edit this error???
In the Resolve tracker there is a mini-timeline and keyframes that can be edited. Sections of imperfect tracking can be marked and deleted and re-tracked.
But how to do this in Face Refinement??? There seems to be no timeline, keyframes or spline curve to identify errors and fix them. Even placing the cursor at some point along the timeline and restarting the “Analyze” function does not actually seem to re-analyse the faulty section.
A second question is how to isolate one face among others, and then apply the Face Refinement tool to that one face???? Power Windows do not seem to isolate the Face function or constrain it to that window. Thanks, Mike
