  Import media via xml or batch list

  Am I missing something or is there no way of using a FCP7 xml of a Bin or a Batch List to populate the media pool with media? Every time I try to import a FCP7 xml of just a Bin of clips Resolve switches to Edit and then complains there’s no seq in it.

  The XML workflow in Resolve is based on importing the media related to a sequence. No sequence, no import.

  I am surprised there’s no way of moving just media into Resolve via some sort of log file. It certainly limits the use of third party logging apps and stifles integration with MAMs. Nobody wants a seq created for every shot brought in.
