    Hi there,

I recently discovered the clone tool for backing up/copying cards on DaVinci Resolve and was wondering if anyone has used this feature? If so, I was wondering what happens if it fails to copy a certain file over? Does DaVinci come up with an error or is this displayed in the checksum file it creates with each job?

Sorry if this is a stupid questions. Just think this could be quite a useful tool especially as it is free! (unless anyone knows of any better software to back up cards?)

    Cheers,

    Matt

I’ve tried the DVR clone tool in various versions up until the latest 12.5. For what I need, it simply doesn’t work.
I’m trying to clone Arri Alexa Codex data packs to a hard disk. Gives an error as soon as it starts. I think its a permission thing but has never got correct. As far as I remember it also doesn’t work with Redmags.

It does work with SD cards and CF cards, however.
