The editor I’m working with used a xml to round trip from Resolve. But when he opened it in Premiere it reconnected to the original .R3D files and not the graded clips.

He’s on the latest Premiere Pro and I’m on Resolve 12.

you are saying he cut in Premiere…sent to you for Resolve work, and you sent it back to him in Premiere?

Did you send him your Resolve renders? It may sound like a strange question, but there are others who thought all they needed to do was supply an xml, and it would contain all the colour information.

I typically create a new list in Resolve as well, rather than relying on the automatically created round trip list…although I use Avid, not Premiere, I would hope the functionality is pretty much the same.

    Thanks for the Response Glenn,

The Davinci renders were sent to the editor along with the xml. He wasn’t able to open it in Premiere. I was able to resolve the issue by rerendering the project with a new xml. The roundtrip was successful. I don’t know why it didn’t work the first time.
