  • Exporting Davinci user-generated metadata for AVID import

I’m using DaVinci Resolve Lite to create MXF36 dailies from ProRes 422 HQ files. I’ve gone through the process of adding a bunch of user-generated metadata in DaVinci, such as scene, take, camera, roll #, etc. I’ve exported the MXF files with an AAF and successfully imported everything into AVID MC 6.5, but none of the metadata comes across via this workflow.

Is there any advice as to how I can import my offline MXF files in AVID while retaining the user-generated metadata from DaVinci?

All the Resolve clip metadata is exported to an Avid via their ALE format. Go to edit page, select your active timeline, export ALE.
