I have set my Data Base not to disk based, but as a patch to IP address method.
Now, my question, where is the file of my project now physically saved to on my HD?
When I search my Mac for the project name, I do not find anything.

If you use the Database method, it won’t save a project file..
If you’d like to have a transferrable, importable file you’ll need to export the project, or use the disk based method.

I kind of understood that from the Ripple Training Workshop already. I’m still wondering out of curiosity, where does DaVinci then save this project to? Where is it physically stored on the HD? It must be somewhere, right?
Also: what is the advantage, or difference between having is as a disk file or in this more virtual way?

    Thanx.

There is a non-user readable database file on the system that hosts the database. The main advantage is the ability to share the same database across multiple systems.

also IMHO, saving is much faster with the database option
