  Panasonic BT300 plasma experience

  If there’s a user/owner of these display reading this, do you have any problems with this display?
  I’m interested in a thing that’s present on the PF30 series, that displaying very dark scenes make the screen adjusting black levels automatically. Not big changes, but still it’s visible. Is this present on the BT300 series too?

  There is a thread on the main Resolve forum discussing calibration of LCD grade monitors with the possibility of using plasma displays. If you can stay with it, you will discover that there is an opinion that plasma displays (that all feature dynamic contrast adjustment) are not suitable for use as grade monitors at all.

  Thanks, I read that, but haven’t seen the newer posts mentioning the Automatic Brightness Level.
  So it seems the BT300 is the same… sad, sad.

  I don’t really think its meant to replace a grade 1 broadcast monitor. But it is a great, accurate large display for client review and second reference. I love mine. I mean if you could buy a 50″ color grading broadcast monitor for $3500 nobody would buy anything else right? It is awesome for what it’s meant to be. But I trust my oled for the grading.

  Thanks. So do you see that automatic brightness change on your BT300 too?
