  • How to change speed on TL without Rippling the SEQ

    Hi,

I wonder if following thing is possible in DaVinci 12 (if not it’s annoying and should be changed):
If I right click a clip I can change the speed without Rippling the SE,
but let’s say I wanna activate the Speed Change in the TL (Command + R) and wanna drag it in the TL to get the speed I want (e.g. to fill a gap),
but I do not want the entire TL to Ripple according to my Speed changes? How can I switch that behaviour?
Tried all Modification Keys, like ALT and CMND while dragging, but nothing.

    Greetings,

    Sascha

Whenever I get into a situation similar to that, if I have a layer available, I’ll pull the clip up one, make the speed adjustments and then drop it down into its original location. There should be a checkbox in the speed adjustment dialogue to defeat rippling the timeline.

    Hi Jospeh,

This only worked when doing it over the dialogue box, but if retiming on timeline with Stretching and compressing the clip, it automatically rippled.
Now, in the new 12.5 though, they implemented that you also can switch in the TL.
