DaVinci 12 does not read MetaData of EX3 correct
Hi,
I hope, anybody encountered this and has any idea what it can be:
I have aproject from AVID – AAF and all the original Card Files.
Dropping all the cards in the Media Pool (Mainly SONY EX3 Footage),
all the TCs of the clips start at 00:00:00:00, which of course is not the case.
Therefor it fails miserably to reconnect to AAF.
When I check those cards in PPro, FCPX, AVID & Catalyst they all show the right TC MetaData.
Why is DaVinci punching it all to 0?
What did I overlook?
Any idea?Thanx a lot.

Any idea?”How many time code tracks does this format support? Is there a chance you are looking at “absolute” vs. “camera” or something like that?

That is what I thought first, but it’s MPEG-2 based Cards from the EX3, not RAW footage, where would I be able to switch it if not in the Camera RAW settings?
Weirdest things is that the TC is read correctly in PPro, FCPX, Catalyst and AVID, only DaVinci is confused here. -
It’s crazy, I was digging everywhere, spoke to other colorists as well.
Nobody has a clue why that is happening.
Now we solved it by Consolidating all inside AVID to DNxHD, but for the future I really wanna still figure this out!Greetz,
