    Hi Everyone.
I have a request to deliver our short film in UHD 50Fps. Our original master is UHD @ 23.98.
Since we don’t have the resources to go to a dub house and either access to a terranet.
What a re the chances to result successful a cross conversion in deviancy resolve, by dropping my 23.98 to a 50fps timeline and export a new master.

    Any direction is very welcome.

Yes, you can drop a flattened 23.98 file into a 25.00fps timeline and have it work, speeding it up by 4.1%. I’m not so sure about a 50fps timeline. 50fps DCPs are actually very rare, in my opinion.

Thanks Mark for your fast respond.

This request is not a DCP, it an MXF for broadcast I guess, but thats the specs the distribution company its requesting.

So beside droping in the time line my 23.87 you recommend speed up in 4.1% ?
Is this will affect the audio tracks ?

i suggest you drop the footage to a 50fps timeline, and then retime the clip back to its original length.
you can try few davinci’s “retime process” options in the edit tab – “effects inspector” menu for best results considerig the frames interpolation
