  Resolve12 and Windows 8.1 or 10?

  Hi,

  I see that Resolve 12 isn’t going to run on Windows 7.
  What do other windows users think about going to 8.1 or 10?
  Have any of you been on either of these OS with Resolve 11 for a while?
  What about with other packages? (Adobe CC / Scratch etc.)

  Looks like going to 12 is going to cost us at least a few days rather than a few hours of down time.

  I can only tell you that it ran fine on Yosemite the last couple of weeks 🙂
  But Win10 is probably what BMD designed it for.

  Seems to run just fine on my win7 64. I sure hope this isn’t true as I have no intention to ever update my Win OS above Win 7-64, barring some significant performance improvements in a new Win OS. I have 3 PC’s running Win 7-64. Updating each one to Win 8 or 10 is just…well, not gonna happen.

  edit: I just received an email from BMD customer support, re: Win 7. While they did not test Resolve v12.0 on win 7, they fully expect it will work.

  That is great to hear – I was not looking forward to a move to 8 or 10
  Going to install onto our Win7-64 machine now.

  For what it’s worth, I’ve been running Resolve 11 on Windows 8.1 for many months and prefer it over windows 7.
