Mayday…mayday…RLF
I’m lost. Completly lost into my learning curve.
As there is no dedicated Fusion forum but as well my question being also general, I post here.
I got a R3D comp in fusion.
REDgamma4
If I use the source settings on the write node to switch to Redlogfilm, I obtain exactly the same value as the RLF I obtain in RedCineX. Logical.
But if instead of that, I leave the REDgamma4 on the write node and use the CineonLog node Lin-to-log parametered to RedLogFilm, the image obtained is much more washed than the RLF obtained with the RMD.
I was expecting the same value. Harrrggghhh
Made no changes on the Iso or anywhere else. Just the Camera settings as it.
I’m lost completly.
There is something I don’t understand. If instead of using the Redlogfilm “log type” into cineon I use the Cineon one, yes I got control on the
film stock gamma, conversion gamma and tables and can find the close equivalent as the RLF rmd original. If my memory’s correct, Grame from Red pointed that we could use Cineon to liearize RLF (so vice versa no?)
So to resume:
RCX does not log or lin the same way as Cineon. Why?
