  Can I run Nvidia geforce and quadro cards in the same system?

  Hi everyone,

  I’d like my system to have a 10-bit display (already have a monitor) but geforce cards don’t do that in all apps and I can’t afford quadro cards.

  I was thinking of using a geforce gpu as my dedicated processing gpu and a cheap quadro just to get 10-bit display in OpenCL/GL (for Windows).

  According to the Oct 2013 system configuration something like that might be possible. LinusTechTips also built a system like that, but does that get me 10-bit display?

  Also, how will this affect my rig in after effects, premiere pro and photoshop? Is it possible?

  I’m on a HPZ820 with a Quadro 4000 for GUI and a GeForce GTX 680 for GPU. Works nice.
