    Hi,

I wonder if there is any option in DaVinci 10 to change the thumbnail image displayed in the Colour Tab, e.g. if the clip starts on black and therefore I see only a black frame in the thumbnail?

    thanx a lot.

    To change the current thumbnail:
–> Move the pointer over a thumbnail, drag to the left or right to scrub through the clip, and
stop when you find a frame you want to use as the new thumbnail.

    Hi Joseph,

    Thanx. Will check it immediately.
I knew, it was there, also that I did read it once in the manual.
When I tried to find it again, over the search field in the PDF,
Nothing came up. Also my search with related keywords on the net didn’t bring any result.
    Good to have the COW.

    Have a great day!

In Project Settings, Color, Timeline Settings, you can use the “Automatically cue” setting. This affects which frame Resolve will cue to when switching clips, and also which thumbnail is shown by default.

Even if you set it to a very high number, Resolve will not cue to more than half the length of the edit.

I was aware of that one, but that is default same for every clip then. Choosing individual per clip was more important.
    Thanx.
