  XML Roundtrip

  Hey all,

  Im working on a project that has Red Dragon 5K footages. Now I import my xml from premiere into resolve and it all works fine, I then grade and when I go and export the roundtrip XML back to Premiere and when I playback the footages in Premiere they appear to be laggy. Now I even have this issue with my Canon 5D mark 3 footages as well. When I export them out of Resolve I export them as Quicktime 8bit RGB, why do I get this playback lag in Premiere? And another small note, when I render out these graded clips from premiere they playback just fine. So my issue is only the playback in premiere. Any help will be appreciated, thanks.

  Typically most NLEs want to see Y’CbCr codecs — if you are using an RGB codec like Apple Animation for example, there will have to be a conversion and/or render before the media can be played in real time from most editing timelines.
