    Hi all,

I have to finish a feature film in Resolve and make a DCP with burnt in subtitles. I have these subtitles as a sequence of PNG’s in Premiere and also in FCP 7.3. But when I try to import that sequence into Resolve using XML, I am not able to get the seperate subtitles in the media pool because resolve is seeing the subtitles as one png sequence instead of as the different subtitles that they are intended to be. Is there a way to work around this, make Resolve not automatically assuming that a series of PNG’s with names like title0001.png, title0002.png, etc. is a movie clip? Or is there another way to solve this little problem?
    Thanks,

    Laurent

if you have them in fcp as well, set the timeline
to millions of color+ and prores 4444. then render
them and reimport them in davinci.

i treat burnt in subs that way with no problems!

I’m not convinced that Resolve is the right choice to subtitle thousands and thousands of subtitles. I think there are dedicated subtitling programs that are much better suited to this task.
