Hello Creative Cow. So, I’ve been been doing grading of a 35 minute short for a few days and started to render it in order to see the footage better. Now, during grading we spotted strange occurrences of clipping on white areas and other areas where the colors were greatly changed, but we thought it was something that had to do with playback.

Upon rendering we realized it stayed with the footage:

What could this be? I never saw this happening on any other place beside my computer (which is where this footage came from). Could this be some problem related to using Davinci 9 Lite?

    Best regards

It’s an OpenCl/OS bug, related to using an AMD GPU and the running os 10.7.something (forgot which).

Upgrade to 10.8.5 and resolve 10 lite, and you should be fine.

Or find someone with an NVidia GPU and render on that machine.
