I just changed cards over in my system, exchanged the gtx 280 for a quadro 4000.
The video signal from the DVI output of the 4000 looks fine, but the Display port looks low-res or anti-aliased? I tried a converter from dP – HDMI to see if it was a cord/monitor input issue but it is not.

For a few days, whenever I would reinstall the drivers for the 4000 it would come up normal from both outputs, then when I would restart again, it would be weird.

Has anyone experienced this? Is it possible this is a driver conflict from the old GTX 280?

Where are you feeding the DP signal to? What adapter are you using? Passive display port adapters (ones without a power source, USB or otherwise) can only carry single link signals. Which only got up to 1920×1200. Active adapters (the ones from apple require you to plug in a USB port to power it) allow for dual-link signals which support larger screens at full res.

I’m only trying to feed a 24″ 1920×1200 monitor. Same one as when using the gtx 280. It’s a simple non powered adapter

Sounds like the adapter or cable could be faulty. Might want to contact NVidia for support.

After doing some more googling I found this, https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/2/1023414
Same issue, except I’m not using a dreamcolor, but a similar HP monitor.
Doesn’t seem to be a fix though.

If I were to feed the problem monitor an HDMI signal from the BMD card would I be able to use it as a separate monitor as well as having my client plasma work as an output monitor?
