  XML Error – “No path information…”

  trying to import FCP 7 XML off lined with QT, and relink to R3d for finish at 2k.

  I have the R3d, and I had the editor send me FCP Project file without any offline media, so all of my clips are offline in FCP. So what, right? I want to relink them to the R3d in Resolve anyway.

  When I try to import the XML, I get this error:

  “Error: No path information found in the sequence”. and the sequence does not import at all.

  Does this mean it’s looking for the media and since the FCP Project had no media, there’s no path to the media in the XML? Shouldn’t Resolve ignore that anyway?

  If the editor exported the XML from his project and sent it to me, any idea if simply having that media path will allow Resolve to import the sequence and create offline clips, that I could then relink via the Media Pool?

  When you import the XML, is the “automatically import source clips to media pool” option selected? If it is, try importing the xml without it selected.

  You will have to relink, or force conform from folder, but it will get you going…
