24fps default – DOH!
I am teaching myself to do basic color correction (with the help of Alexis’ Color Handbook and the DaVinci Resolve handbook he wrote as well) and while the I seem to get the basics down, I ignored some VERY basic things:
I edited in Premiere CS6, it’s a 720×480 DV sequence (yep, a bit low tech this one), 29.97fps. I opened the default project, imported my media in one clip, did a scene detect (EDL or XML won’t work, because I came from a Multicam sequence), conformed everything into a timeline, did my color correction and then even some extra, like power windows (with trackers), keys and and. 45 minutes of material. dozens of shots. (luckily mostly the same setups, it’s an interview.)
But then… when I wanted to export/render, the big shock. (Of course, you already know what’s up). I did everything in 24fps.
Help anyone? What’s my best action plan now?
